The entire jacket, including the hood is constructed of 330 denier CORDURA® fabric with a nylon taslan lining.

This lighter build makes the MARK VI lighter than the other Mark Series jackets and is a great travel and packing heavy-duty shell. Great "lighter"  jacket from Kitanica.  works better in TX given the milder climate.  did a DWR coating to help water repellency. still feels rough and tough enough to last for years of use.  XXL has enough room for a vest or light liner to up the warmth for non-active cold weather use.  sizing seems consistent with most well-cut outerwear - not the small-running trend from China-made stuff.  Construction quality is top notch.

Only feature I'd like to see added is pit zips for better active ventilation.  Highly recommend this coat.
