What is the difference between Gen 2 and All Season Pants?

The Gen 2 has CORDURA® knee reinforcement, which provides a pocket for Kitanica's optional articulated smart foam knee pads.

All Season Pants are made of 50% Nylon, 50% Cotton Ripstop. They do not have CORDURA® on the knees and do not allow for knee pads. They also do not have the Gen 2 large map pocket on the right thigh in an effort to reduce layers for optimal breathability.

Can you hem my pants?

No, we do not customize pants to order. Most dry-cleaners will hem them very cheaply. If you plan to hem All Season Pants and Gen2 Pants, ask us for extra cuff drawstring tape so you can hem them with the drawstring functionality. Make note of it in the Order Comments at checkout.

Do you make longs?

We run LONGS periodically, so if we don't have them on hand they won't be available on the site. If we do have them, the site will let you order them. If you sign up for our emails, check our "Update" link or "Like" our Facebook page, we announce the availability there.

I am 6'2." Is a 34" inseam long enough?

No you will most likely need a LONG

How long is LONG on the Mark series jacket and fleece?

It is 2" longer on sleeve and overall length than our regular. As a guideline: if you are 6'2" you will need a LONG in our jackets. We do not make LONGS in Mark V and Mark VI.

What is the composition of CORDURA® on Mark jackets?

Mark I and Mark IV are made with 1000 denier CORDURA®, Mark V is made with 500 denier CORDURA® and Mark VI is made with 330 denier CORDURA®. CORDURA® is a heavy-duty nylon weave. It has a 1 oz. coating of urethane on the back of the fabric, which provides great water and wind resistency. The seams are not sealed, but our jackets perform great in the rain and keep you dry for a couple hours depending on rainfall intensity and exposure.

Are the MARK series jackets insulated?

No, they are designed as heavy-duty shells with great breathability that allow for layering underneath to accommodate different weather conditions. They are lined with a combination of mesh and taslan nylon (heavy-duty wind breaker-like material).
We do sell an insulating fleece liner for the MARK I that zips into the placket and snaps in at the cuffs and collar. That liner fits into the MARK IV but does not have the zip-in/snap-in capability. The MARK V is a considerably longer cut than the MARK I liner and does not attach to the MARK V.
